“Ever
seeking pleasing harmonic consonance” characterizes the musical
aspiration of the Utica, New York based musical trio RATTLIN’ BOG -
comprised of Rick Kincaid, Joe Rowlands and (recent addition) Steve
Chute – formerly of the Gristmill String Band.
Over a period of 25
years the band has employed various approaches toward this aspiration.
As a consequence their performances at festivals, concerts, coffee
houses and parties often include a smorgasbord of musical styles from
acappella sea shanties to traditional and popular folk, old time gospel
and tunes of Celtic origin – accompanied by 6 and 12 string guitars,
banjos, mandolin, accordian, melodica, harmonicas and tin whistles.
They are probably best known for their rousing Irish repertoire – from
whence came their trademark name.
Come enjoy their next scheduled
harmonic and good humored “event”.
